Brisbane, Australia ..... Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith, premier airman of Australia, photographed with his young son, shortly before Smith and his co-pilot Captain P.G. Taylor, left here on the first lap of their trans-Pacific flight to Los Angeles. Kingsford-Smith and Taylor in their speedy Lockheed plane, arrived in Honolulu yesterday, October 29th, after the longest non-stop flight of the entire trip. (30 October 1934)
