Smithy supervises the installation of the new cowling in the KSAS hangar
at Mascot. Press reports suggest that the new cowling was fitted in
the period 3-6 October 1934. The gentleman holding the cowling ring
and talking to Smithy is almost certainly Lawrence Wackett. The gentleman
on the right may be the same person pictured earlier in conversation
with Smithy and thought to be from the Civil Aviation Branch. The engineer
on the raised platform and holding the cowling ring is believed to be
Tommy Pethybridge.
