Captain Jack Curtis (16 November 1924 - 10 January 2015) was in the left hand seat for the first flight on 6 September 1991. Jack Curtis had a wealth of taildragger experience on types such as Wirraway, P-40 and DC-3. At left behind Jack Curtis is the late Graham White who was the last person to fly VH-UZO when he ferried it from Bankstown to Nowra. Another pilot who was endorsed on VH-UZO by Graham White was Stephen Curtis (no relation to Jack).
